the people are unbelievably nice and are interested in knowing what you think and feel. the economic situation is not good so their positive spirits took me by surprise.

but i also love warmer countries like thailand. i have also been to new zealand and it's a country i would love to live in but it is in the middle of nowhere..

backpacking through europe is on my todo list too.

      how 'bout you?

      Loooove the picture!

I've always wanted to visit Iceland, maybe it's doable sooner than later.

I haven't been to that many places, but... several times to Sweden, Denmark, Norway and Russia (Yep, I'm from Finland), I've also been to London countless times (close relative lives there, need to check out the rest of the UK also!).

The only sunnier destination has been Greece, Rhodes. Three times.

Australia, NZ, Thailand, USA (New York first) would be next on my list... then maybe more exotic places like South America, India, Africa, Philippines... oh, I want to go everywhere.

Born and raised in New York, traveled around the east coast. Live in Florida and have been to most all of the tropical islands south of me, Costa Rica, Panama (thru the Panama Canal too), Hawaii, Las Vegas (didn't come home a winner), the Greek Islands, Ephusis and Istanbul Turkey. My dad was from Germany but I've have gone there (yet) and I have a friend in the UK and hope to go there. My next trip I would like to take is to Alaska.

Have been very fortunate to spend the greater part of my life travelling. Born in Florida, raised in Alaska, lived up and down west coast, went to university in Colorado, immigrated to Canada and travelled for my job to every province (and most major and minor cities) in Canada- I love this country, so then became a citizen. Was sent to Denmark, Sweden, Amsterdam, and Dubai for business reasons and enjoyed the time there, along with presenting at various professional conferences. If you can ever fly Emirates airline, do not pass this up. Very, very cool.

But really, would love to go to Ireland and tour around while staying at a variety of bed and breakfast places. And want to go to Istanbul. Gotta get there some day.

Have not travelled so much these past two years or so, but am so happy to be home as I recently married an amazing man.

i see so many of you have traveled to many places on the globe - if any one of you has T does it bother you to travel on a plane? i want to get on a plane but I'm afraid the T will get worse

My ENT said that for some people, their tinnitus gets better after flying!

I'm not a good traveler. I went on a 16 hour flight from Chicago to Guam, and I was scared about my tinnitus. I made it through intact (For some reason, Bruce Springstein's lyrics, "Just strap yourself to my engine" kept going through my head) That was a business trip, so it was an unpleasant situation to begin with.

      Karl,

I asked you on another page - how did your T start - you indicated it wasn't from noise - neither was mine - i believe mine was from TMJ and strained neck and shoulder muscles but I've had since it since you 10/2011 but I'm being treated with a stabilizing orthotic.

I wouldn't be worried traveling on a plane. As far as I know, it shouldn't cause any damage. I haven't ever heard of anyone's tinnitus becoming permanently worse after flying. And the "flying and tinnitus" questions pops up really quite often.

But if you have eustachian tube dysfunction, then flying can cause some discomfort. Read up here: http://drharris.ucsd.edu/Default.aspx?tabid=70
Generally ETD problems don't mean you can't fly, but need to take into consideration and how to manage.

Good travels to everyone :) !
