Pretty simple - does anyone else have this? It seems like tons of real life noises make my ears do little pings of high pitched, bright noises. For example in silence I won't hear it, but with sound I'll constantly hear little chimes going off.

Has this gone away for anyone who has had it?

I don't know if it is reactive tinnitus, distortion, or what...

Yes I have the same. I used to find it with tv at first (thankfully not now) but it happens over fuzzy sounds; rain, boilers, water, etc. From what I’ve read it’s a distortion of sound based on high frequency lost, however quite a few people report it goes after some months (within a year)

I also get a short ping reaction on more sharp sounding objects like buttons on keyboards or if use the mouse scroll. Extremely infuriating.

I have the same thing. Chimes whenever I hear high frequency noises. The clicking of a computer mouse. The click of a light switch. The creeping of a floor. Sometimes it lasts for weeks and goes away for days and then comes back. I had a previous neck herniation with tinnitus after the injury. It is all gone except for this noise induced frequency. Anyone know also how long it lasts? Will it go away eventually. It is very annoying to say the least. I’m presently on Lyrica to calm the nerves down.

This has dissipated somewhat for me. I still hear distortion over fans/airflow, which was the worst distortion of the bunch when all were originally present.

This chime with high frequency is all I have. Do you think the Lyrica will help my situation? You say it will go away after a few months. Is it because the nerves will finally calm down? When you say people have reported it goes away, do you have examples of their posts? I’m very discouraged as I think that it will never go away!

I got this too, but from pretty much all sounds at a high enough volume, and it’s accompanied with a pain response. It’s insanely frustrating.
