I would say my T was 5 until 2-3 weeks ago where it went up to a 9. Then 10.

Then it did the ol' Spinal Tap thing of going to 11 a few days ago.

      Is this my future?

      Can/does it go back down?

I know the feeling, everytime I think I am making good progress something happens to make it spike out of control.

My T is spiking badly at the moment but if I read through this forum it usually goes back to it's baselevel.

Try not to worry too much about it (easier said than done, I know all about it!). Thinking about it will only make it worse as the brain goes in overdrive.

Loud noise exposure or an ear infection, or maybe a combination :(
It's probably a temporary spike. It will probably return to it's normal level soon enough. I'm sure you'll be fine :)

      Cause of Tinnitus:
Loud gig/year of loud headphone usage.
While mine isn't as drastic yes it changes from time to time.
My school is generally loud so from time to time my Tinnitus goes from air to tv static but it returns to normal within the next day.
I also had a spike of 3 days but now my Tinnitus is the lowest it's been in a month.
Main problem right now is the reactive part of it, I'm hoping that it'll go away.

The cause of the change would really worth a look to prevent it in the future.

Okay, I owe you and future readers of this thread an update.

I cannot explain it. Let me start with that.

When I first started this thread I was an 11/10. Seriously.

I have a verrry low distant work truck sounding roar in my right ear. I heard it most of the morning.

I like to walk for exercise and noticed that if I walk along a busy street I don't hear the roar. So I downloaded "traffic noises" and made a loop of it.

I played it and soon my 11/10 went to 4/10.

I went out to lunch with friends and we ate in a park. For some reason, I have more of a roar in s small room than a bigger room than outside.

Anyway, we went back to the office and I thought it was strange that the roar was still minimal.

I turned the loop back on and didn't hear the noise inside my head all afternoon.

      2/10

      11/10 to 2/10 in a few hours.

Last night and today I played the same loop. I'd guess I'm 3/10 right now and about to go to bed.

      I'll keep it on tonight.

      Wish me luck. :)
