      I haven't don't much..

-NAC and magnisium for 2 months
      -regular massage
-NO masking or any sound at night
-back to hard hard excercise...pushing myself until my body won't go anymore.

It's still bad, not like I'm thirilled but it is some progress. I don't know, even my T seems to be 5-10% lower. Maybe things will keep getting better.

I have been lifting and doing cardio...outdoor skating, basically skate as hard as I can for 60-90min taking some breaks. My weight lifting consists of more reps, less time in between my sets these days.

My T spikes a bit temporarily, my T is pretty consistent so doesn't change it a lot.

Happy for you telis. This gives hope. My T and H were lower until yesterday when a harley Davidson motorcycle honked right next to me thrice. My T is up since morning today and my H was still bad I realised. Why are there no answers to these problems I wonder. Why such hopelessness. Sorry I feel so depressed I needed to vent.

    7. @Telis, great to hear, i think you deserved some positive response from your body. Real hard exercise is the key to at least feel a little bit better.

Congrats on the improvements. The body and brain are remarkable. Hyperacusis is one of those conditions that takes time for the brain to adjust, compensate, repair and improve on but it usually does happen.

Glad to hear your are making some progress, Telis. Trust in your body's natural ability to heal and the brain's neural plasticity over time. Another thing is the mental side of the T struggle. As you are gaining back some enjoyable aspects of your life, it is time to really understand the powerful CBT concept of avoiding 'All or Nothing' thinking, a cognitive distortion which is quite common for newer T sufferers. The trauma of T can cause us to negate the value of the other aspects of our life, as if life is not worth it unless the T (and H) is gone or reduced. But this may not be the reality. Resisting such reality can contribute lots of suffering and prolong habituation. So we need to move closer to our reality to avoid the brain getting stuck on insisting T has to be this or that before life is worth it.

I realized my mistake of All or Nothing thinking and slowly I switched over the concept of ' accepting peaceful co-existence' with T. Compartmentalize T and minimize its damage. Let T be. Let the rest of our life be. The sooner we can do that, the sooner T will be treated less and less a threat, and meaningful habituation will then slowly begin. Congrats to your making progress with hyperacusis.

Telis must be doing better than me. His Calgary Flames has just upset my Vancouver Canucks from the NHL playoff. Oh, it hurts. LOL. A lower seed totally dominating our higher seed Canucks. Ouch! Hope you guys can mount a miracle come back against the Anaheim Ducks. I will cheer for our Canadian team for sure.

Seriously, hope you continue to improve, Telis.

Thanks so much Billie, well thanks for cheering for the Flames, I would have done the same for your Cunucks had they knocked out Calgary. Think it may take a miricle now but whatever happens I'm a happy fan, second round in the playoffs in the second year of a complete rebuild, I will take it :)

      Hope you are doing well.
