      I.
Be sensitive to, and respectful of, other members' feelings.
Treat others with respect, kindness and empathy.

      II.
Do not judge, belittle, harass or insult your fellow members or their conditions thereof.
Such action will result in either a warning or ban, depending on the severity.
There is no place for hostile comments on Tinnitus Talk.

      III.
Information published on this site is not intended as a substitute for medical advice. For medical care, consult a medical professional. Bear in mind though that some people may inadvertently base healthcare decisions on information that they read on the forum. However well-intentioned, misleading information could result in compromised decisions. Repeated posting of information that can be shown to be false may — at the discretion of the staff — result in being banned either from a thread or from the forum.

      IV.
Disagreement is natural, and if kindly expressed, will be allowed. The staff, however, reserves the right to limit negative criticisms in a thread. What constitutes negative criticisms will be determined by the staff.

Those posting excessive negative criticisms will be banned from a thread. Repeated violations may result in an indefinite suspension from the forum.

      V.
Profanity is discouraged on the forum. If a member is repeatedly profane, he or she may be given a warning by the staff. Repeated warnings will result in a ban from the forum.

      VI.
Self-promotion without staff's prior approval is prohibited. Self-promotion includes but is not limited to any kind of advertising of one's products, services or such.

      VII.
Conversations (Private Messages) are private in nature - not to be shared in public. Anyone found sharing the contents of private conversations to third parties will be banned at the discretion of the staff. Conversations may be reported to staff using the "Report" feature associated with any conversation message. Reported conversations are treated confidentially by the staff.

      VIII.
If you see content that is inappropriate in nature, please use the Report link below the forum post/conversation message in question and describe what is wrong with the message. Your help is appreciated.

      IX.
Member issues related to accounts and privileges are to be discussed with staff members directly via a private conversation.

      X.
Contact a staff member if you have any questions regarding Tinnitus Talk or this netiquette.

      XI.
Once again, be sensitive to, and respectful of, other members' feelings.
If you are thick-skinned, someone else might not be. Act accordingly.
Ultimately, the staff reserves the right to resolve each situation on a case-by-case basis.
