      Tinnitus Since:
      10/1978
Ex farmer and many hours driving tractors created my problem , i think.

Lived with it all this time. Radio under the pillow at night. Music earphones during the day.

Being resigned to the fact that there was no cure i didnt really delve any further.

I have a kinesiologist lady who keeps us away from the doctors who i asked if she could help my hearing as i am getting older with deterioting hearing.
With some work (i have no idea what work) there was a slight improvement and i believe it improves a little with each visit.
Three months ago jokingly i said what about tinnitus and she proceeded to work on it. This first visit there was i thought a slight improvement which i disregarded as i was thinking i am making myself think its improving.
      Second visit similar.
Third visit today in four minutes i went from a 9 out of 10 for how bad to 1 out of 10 in about 4 minutes of treatment.
I had to tell someone as it looks as if there is some possibilities for some of us that it can be improved upon.
Tonight 4 hours later still nothing.
It is so strange not to have the ringing in the ears.
Lets see what the next month does.

      hi boshack

What does she do during the visits? Do you have exercises to carry on with when you get home?

Please, please... give us more detail!

Yes, we'd like to hear more! I've heard of applied kinesiology; does it have something to do with that? Muscle testing, maninpulation, etc?

Kinesiology is all about muscle testing but she did'nt do this for the titinnus, i think
I am still not sure on this technique , however for someone to remove it completely in 4 minutes makes me think there is something there and i guess i was so pleased after all these years to have some freedom from ringing in my ears prompted me to comment.
At this point i would say i am about 50% clear and 50% full ringing since the treatment yesterday.Even this is strange but strange things happen after healing sessions which i have experienced before.

I am hoping it will stimulate some discussion as i am still out on it and whilst i believe in her which is a big part of any healing i am would like to hear if anyone else has had a similar experience or perhaps it was me wanting it to happen so much.

All i can do is repeat my experience and that is to say that she had me on a table and just concentrated on the area .
I call her my voodoo lady and have no idea of the mumbo jumbo that went on and really didnt investigate because i was skeptical and thought it may have been a ten minute wonder.
She has me off anything that has COWS MILK in it. e.g. chocolate biscuits coffee etc. Rice milk ok.

She was saying there were little passages that were very lethargic at allowing movement of whatever. When she said she had them working again properly was when i had no ringing.

I would like to give her a couple of more goes and then if successful i would like to try someone else who could be interested.

I am not getting to excited but after 40 years anything is worth following if there is possibly something there.

Boshack, Thanks for responding. I'm so glad for you that, after 40 years, your tinnitus is at 50%! I hope it remains steady for you at that rate. How is your hearing now? Did the healing help your hearing, as well?

You might wish to start a new thread on this forum under "Alternative Treatments and Research". This would definitely come under that category. Maybe you'll get some more responses that way.

As for me, I will admit to having tried a number of different healing treatments in the hope that it would help my tinnitus. I've tried chiropractic, acupuncture, reiki, etc. After some of those healings, my tinnitus actually got worse (more turbulent) before it calmed down again. My tinnitus has gradually gotten somewhat better and calmer, but I'm not sure I can attribute it to any one healing therapy.

Welcome to Tinnitus Talk, and please do keep us updated on how you are doing. I hope the 50% holds for you!!

Sorry i didnt answer Karen as to whether it had helped my hearing.
I cant honestly give a affirmative here as she has been working on hearing for a couple of months so i cannot attribute the small improvement in hearing to her voodoo work. Perhaps it all ties in , is that your belief.

      Hi, Boshack,
Somehow I missed your response to my question about your hearing. Yes, I do think it could be all tied in. Even though there are many people with tinnitus who don't have hearing loss, those of us who DO have hearing loss may have some tie-in with the tinnitus. My uninjured ear is perfectly normal (left ear), but my right ear (first damaged by loud sound, then by ototoxic drug) has both high-range hearing loss and ringing/pulsating tinnitus.

I hope yours continues to improve, and am very happy and encouraged for your improvement!

I've tried many alternative treatments myself, and am currently going to a chiropractor who specializes in neurology. He is going to work with me on brain exercises, etc., to help with my pulsating tinnitus. Will let you know how it goes!

      Hi Karen,
I am at about 50% improvement since first treatment. I will have another in the next month. As i said in Alternative treatments milk seems to be playing a big part.
If next one works well and as you seem most interested perhaps i could organize a session for you. I would just like someone else to experience the dramatic change i had in a couple of minutes during a session.
It may be just suiting me then i have to go quiet but if there is more to it , it would be worth pursuing further .
Any further advancement with your chiropractor?.
Interestingly i notice sometimes if i get a bit anxious the ringing starts again.

      Hi, Boshack,
I'm glad you are at 50% improvement; that's great! I hope you have further improvement with your next session. Tinnitus is a multi-faceted condition, and what works for one person may or may not work for another, but I'm very glad this is helping you!

I'm still going to my chiropractic neurologist, and, yes, I have noticed some improvement. He is going to continue working with me to improve on my pulsating tinnitus. I'll keep you posted!

As to anxiety making your tinnitus worse again -- yes, I think that's true of most of us. It's a vicious cycle; the more the tinnitus bothers us, the more anxious we get, and on and on. Anything we can do to break that cycle is helpful to our overall improvement. Maybe if your T continues to improve with these treatments, your anxiety will go away. Best wishes, and please update after your next treatment.

      Hi Boshack,

Milk can be really bad for some people, I read its the 'most mucus forming substance you can eat'.

      Where is your kinesiologist lady?

      Hi Louise,
When I had the big improvement she said the mucas had been drained and this was caused by milk.
We are in Perth Australia however my voodoo lady works on me remotely sometimes as we can be 300 k apart when I Need her.
I believe in her and I think this helps and some amzing things have happened when she remotely worked on me. You have given me an idea and perhaps I will do my next session remotely when my ears are ringing.
Good news Karen with your chiropractor , perhaps it's a combination of treatments to beat it.

Thats interesting Boshack. Maybe its a bit far for her powers to stretch to the UK :) I found a lady close to me who does it and am going to give it a go I think.

I hope you continue to have good results from it :)

      Hi Louise,
I am really keen to see what results you get. I am hesitating my next visit because i am concentrating on NO MILK , whilst difficult because its in so many things i believe things are still improving slightly. What i dont understand is that i still get maximum ringing but definetely no where near as often as it used to be.

As someone mentioned earlier there are different types of T , however if it is anywhere near similar to mine you will see where i said the ringing went from maximum to zero in about 4 minutes when my kinieseologist worked on me , she did spend about 20 minutes prior giving a general overhaul but once concentrating on my ears it was very quick,--this still astounds me and makes me believe there must be a solution.

Sorry i havent updated but i read so many negatives as far as improvement with different treatments and thought i sounded as if i had a temporary miracle.
Nearly two months now and i am pleased to say i am improved by 50% approx overall , this is similar comment to the one i made 3 weeks after initial treatment. I still have maximum ringing but no where near as often.
I havent had further treatment as my lady has not been available but will do in the next month. With a 50% improvement it is quite a liveable situation.
I have been keeping off milk and associated products , this is not so easy and i wont know how successful it has been until i see my lady again when she will be able to test for the levels of milk i have.
My association with this kineseologist started many years ago when i asked her to diagnose a problem my wife had and doctors were getting nowhere. It took 10 minutes.
Lets hope someone else can have the shortlived immediate result that i had when it went from bad to nothing in 4 minutes of kineseology work and this is what is giving me encouragement and if it can be repeated we may be on a interesting journey.

Milk Milk Milk. Today i had a milk cuppaccino . It was served unintentionally and i drank it , big lesson.
I have had ringing for most of the time since , not always maximum but a lot lot more than i have had for the last 2 months.
Now i wonder if i have to get all cleared again to start a fresh. I will give it some time and see, anyhow my K.......ist lady isnt back for 2 weeks so it will be interesting. I have noticed there is no mucus in my throat now that i have gone off milk that was very annoying prior .
Be interesting about lacto free i do not know but soya doesnt cause a problem.

If we have blocked eustachian tubes or if inflammation can cause/worsen tinnitus then, as all dairy produce is notorious for increasing mucous and most of it is inflammatory, it does make sense boshack.

I'm allergic to soya - it's one of the reasons that I had to give up being a vegan. I'm also lacto intolerant - hence the lacto free milk.

One thing I have noticed though - cheese makes my T go through the roof now, so I have given it up. I'm wondering if all foods that give some people migraines could be upping the volume of our T... just a theory at the moment tho.
