How exciting!! Too bad it is so cost prohibitive right now. If it is successful, maybe it will eventually come down in price. It would be interesting to have someone with tinnitus try this device, to see if it would improve their tinnitus as well as their hearing.

      Thanks for posting!

Karen, an article in The Palm Beach Post mentioned that he had ringing in his ears since a Beatles concert in 1964. I had an actual newspaper and read that article. However, it costs to read it on the internet. I am very interested to see if the hearing aid helped his tinnitus.

      Grant,

That's encouraging news! Maybe we'll hear more about him, and about this device, soon. Wouldn't it be wonderful if it could help tinnitus? There might be some tinnitus sufferers willing to pay the price in hopes of getting some relief. Something to be watching for in the future.

Great stuff for those with severe hearing loss, but I can't see how this hearing aid can help in cases of tinnitus? Did I miss something here? If the cause of T is hearing loss then the damages in the inner ear won't be fixed by this device. If the cause is something else it obviously wont help either. So what's the connection?

I noticed the battery life was 5-9 years by the way, so, they obviously need to open his skull to change the batteries. The battery business is still making sure they are cashing in, there must be a global battery production agreement making sure they never release batteries that lasts too long on anything. I'm almost sure they know how to them make'em last for ages. :cautious:
