Hi, I am new to this. I have pulsatile tinnitus. It just started last night and freaked me out. I googled my symptoms and was not totally relieved after reading about it. I am feeling unite a bit better after reading on here, what people have dealing with. I will make a doctor's appointment soon and hopefully get into an ENT to get things checked out.

I am a 57 year old healthy male. I exercise regularly and I don't smoke. I have always had borderline high blood pressure, usually around 140/90.

I don't notice anything in the daytime and it is fine if I am active. As soon as I lie down I hear and feel my pulse in my right ear and it is really annoying.

      Any tip would be appreciated.

Check out the thread below where I summarize everything (27 tips) I learned about managing tinnitus after reading the posts on this forum for the past year.

Hopefully you will find several of tips in that post to be helpful (although those tips are for people with regular (non-pulsative) T)...

I'm very new in this deal. I have it in my right ear as well. Getting rest is important and this has been my biggest problem throughout. My primary doc has helped me work through this.

Hopefully you can get to an ENT soon as well. Your ENT may suggest a CT scan or similar to make sure there isn't a growth or fluid causing your T. Be ready for that. It's pretty standard I guess.

      Good luck.
