I made a success story once on the tenth, but since then I’ve fully beaten tinnitus!

So, as mentioned in my other threads, I had gotten tinnitus as soon as I took my headphones off after a long night of gaming, watching YouTube, and listening to music.

I heard this ringing, I thought nothing of it and went to sleep expecting it to go away the next day. Turns out it didn’t. It was there and I got scared. I didn’t know if I was sick or something. I googled ringing in ear (like an idiot) and saw “Ringing in the ear is usually a sign of tinnitus. This can be permanent.” (It wasn’t exactly like that but I paraphrased) so naturally I panicked even more.
I was getting scared and desperate. I thought my loud noise exposure had caused my tinnitus and that I damaged my ear and had this ringing forever.

After about the first week or second week, it started dying down a bit, fading but it was still visible. I haven’t gone to an ENT at this time, but I did use Debrox to no avail. I was learning to get used to it, cover it with sounds and keep calm.

It had thankfully gone down since the use of Debrox. 12 days ago (according to Reddit at the time I’m posting this, which is 7/21/19) I had posted on Reddit that my tinnitus was pissing me off. It was super low but I’d know it would blast up as soon as I woke up the next day. I vented out my frustrations and slept. As the days kept going by, it faded more and more until one day I woke up to the sound of silence. The peace. The first day it happened I didn’t get all excited in case it spiked back up again, but since then, it’s stayed gone. My anxiety has gotten down since then and I’ve been sleeping a lot more without having a nervous breakdown because of my tinnitus.

So to conclude, your tinnitus is not the end of the world for you who have had mild tinnitus for a week. And as for the ones suffering with long term, you can do it. You can get through this. I believe in you and I know what you’re going through. I know it’s hard for some of you to deal with the ringing and it’s okay, it was hard for me too, but, you have to stay strong. Use methods of silencing or ignoring your tinnitus. It will get better, I promise you.

I wanted to share this and plus give an update. I assumed my tinnitus is from earwax, so there’s that.

      Have a nice night/day/morning/afternoon/whatever lol.

You are lucky, it is called temporary tinnitus, quite common.

      Yep, it came back haha

I honestly didn’t handle it well. My 14th birthday marks six weeks with it.
It kinda sucks but as long as I don’t panic about it (which I do which is really bad) I’m pretty cool! My tinnitus is probably perm and maybe due to hearing loss, but I still haven’t went to a dr.
If it is hearing loss related, I have hope in FX-322, I’ll suffer for just a couple years, and I’ll make it go away one day. I’m thankful I got it while FX was far in development and trial and stuff haha, so that’s good at least.

I am getting close to my 3rd year after the onset. These days I have days of silence like 10~12 days in a row and suddenly it comes back again staying for a couple of days or so but very very mild and can hear only in dead quiet envirements.
