When you say relapse, does it become permanently louder and you have to habituate to the new volume or does it go back down to what it was before?

My T became full blast 1990 it was in both ears and consumed me. Relapses basically perceived as the same loudness. Relapsed 1995 and 2002. The latest was a day after I had deep teeth cleaning. I awoke to loud ringing and dizziness. When I habituated 3 time Habituation is amazing. I live with it I hear it but it doesn't bother me. Usually takes 12-18 months. Lot of tears and fears.
