You're not alone. I can't either. Generally, we are not suppose to understand and hear everybody over background noise. Even people with healthy ears. Which would explain why they too say or yell "WHAT? I DIDN'T HEAR WHAT YOU SAID.".

don't be in denial, people with genuinely good hearing can pick up and deicepher sounds in very complex background noises. Those are the people that take very good care of there ears
