        No hearing aids; yet. I usually don't consciously think
        about it, and I can hear well enough, I think.
        (but I know my wife hears better than me)
        Maybe there is some adaptation.

        It was interesting to see here that sleep has an effect,
        and I have been having trouble sleeping for several years.
        (sleep meds are risky; exercise helps)

    1972
    Cause of Tinnitus:
    machine gun & loh transmission
    After temp deafness from m60 mg, then from loh transmission
    in VN 72. ETS 1973 ; never saw army doc or VA.
    Private doc in 1975 said nothing could be done for
    a ringing that varies from moderate to screaming.
    No improvement, but I usually don't think about it
    (until I sometimes become obsessed with it).
