    Imo, it indicates you have some level of reactive tinnitus. Just my 2 cents.

    Well, maybe anyway. We do know that sleep is a very big contributing factor for tinnitus volume. I think it is certainly better than being loud all the time but I don't see it as an indication of healing.

    The noise in my head is usually softer in the morning and often mixed with crickets becoming harsher as the day progresses. For me it's not so much the volume that changes but the intensity. I'm hoping eventually the volume will change too.

    @New Guy Yeah man. Hopefully those lulls become the norm. I start the day with a low hiss and it progresses to a tone by the evening. Definitely wasn’t like that the first month.

    That's great news! How long have you had t? It very slowly was staying at a lower level longer but I had a setback last week so I've gone backwards. From what I hear a low hiss is a good noise to have, keep it coming.
