I mean, seriously, I get that SOME level of tinnitus will always be with me. I've listened to rock music for 20 years. There's no free lunch.

But if I do habituate to what I have right now, I will NOT have the cognitive failure of posting in the Success Stories section.

Seriously thank you! I've been trying to at least have some measure of seperation between actual success stories and habituation stories.

We need a sub-forum for the habituation stories! I love when you verbally shit on them, lol

Habituation is something that a lot of us will just have to do. It's a cold reality of this awful affliction. I may even be so bold as to state we are currently a lot like polio sufferers before the vaccine (normies will probably disagree, fite me in rl).

If it's something they have to do, then I admire their strength and will to live to habituate to obtrusive, hellish T. I admire those who can do it, I don't think my personality type will allow it for really bad T.

I think I can habituate to the mild T a lot of my rocker friends have where they will randomly hear a high pitch whine for a minute or two every now and then. That's what I'm shooting for ATM by the HBOT and supps. If I habituate to the moderate T I have now, I will keep it to myself.

It IS a kind of success, but it is not in any way a true success and not the type of story I really want to read about.

Thanks ^_^. In the past it's definitely thankless work.

And yeah I agree. But like polio sufferers before the vaccine we shouldn't have to do it.

It needs to be done. Don't post things like "I consider myself 100% cured, I no longer care about my tinnitus or hyperacusis". That is 100% NPC right there.

And most definitely. We shouldn't have to work with the tools at our disposal that may or may not help us when research into actually fixing what we have is so little!
