My tinnitus started after receiving a broken jaw (king hit from behind or as we now call in Oz, "coward's punch"), and subsequently bouncing my head on the concrete pavement. The broken jaw healed fine thanks to a titanium plate but the tinnitus was diagnosed as permanent and has been with me for all my waking moments since. Haven't had any treatment apart from my own which include listening to music/radio static whilst trying to get to sleep. I'm also required to wear ear protection for work quite often so have modified my ear muffs so I can listen to music/radio etc., to help alleviate the tinnitus which is especially bad as soon as my ears are covered.Interact
