Hey, I had sudden onset of floaters with extremely blurry vision and flashes, but doctor checked out my eyes and said everything was fine. My vision is back to normal. I'm going to state clinic this Monday.
Do you have any knowledge regarding floaters? I think it's a side effect of Dexamethasone.
I got checked via dilation test, retina is fine, I got floaters in both eyes suddenly.
I can only come to the conclusion that they were there before but for some reason I did not notice them until now.
Arseny I just know that they are cells that detach from the retina and float about in the jelly substance in ur eye. Usually harmless and increase with age but sudden onset could be serious
@Paulmanlike I did multiple eye exams at the state clinic including ultrasound. They found some sort of spot and 2 scotomas, but they are not sure why they are there they just said to monitor this situation. They referred me to the clinic with YAG laser maybe they can remove floaters there.
@Paulmanlike No they didn't do an OCT, because they said it was too low res to see anything in my case and referred me to another clinic in case I want to do it, but they said it was unnecessary. I don't even know what to think. Is it the same with eye doctors like with ENTs? There are debris floating around in your eye? Nah, it's fine you can go home.
@Paulmanlike 2 scotomas showed up on the test where you look for the dot and press the button. They are exactly in the same spot in both eyes. I missed the dot 3 times in each eye in that spot. I have no idea why is that.
@Paulmanlike I have a faint memory of doing this test in childhood, but I don't think I have results saved from that time.
I have missed a few dots a few times in different places (worse in right eye), but it maybe just anxiety, because I saw them at least 1-2 times.
