Oh yes, and I do wonder what hearing is like for people who don't have H. I can remember silence, but I can no longer remember what it was like not having hyperacusis and having thumping and pain in the ears from many everyday sounds.

To be able to put a plate on the table without having your ears react to it in an uncomfortable way. That memory is gone :/
