After nearly 2 years of loud tinnitus I had completely given up. This doesn't seem real...
Tbh I feel awkward announcing this though, I know what it's like seeing other people get better and you aren't. If anyone reading this is feeling sad that your tinnitus isn't getting better I'm really sorry :( I hope I'm not been insensitive.
If I was ever God for the day the first thing I would do is cure everyone with tinnitus, giving them the gift of silence would be so amazing.
Wow! Congratulations! That truly is very hopeful!
Would you say that you are now in the "can hear it only in quiet rooms" stage? Or is it louder/quieter than that?
@Bill Bauer only in a very quiet room. I'm currently sitting in the family room/kitchen which only has a fridge humming away in the background and cannot hear it at all. Normally I would be able to hear it above everything including the TV on a low volume. I just listened for it after reading your question and can hear it if I really try.
It didn't wake me once the last few nights. I will say it does still sound very loud when my head is against the pillow in a fully silent room but I can live with that!
@Bill Bauer do you think this will last?
The longer it lasts, the higher is the chance that it will continue to last. Also, if it ever becomes loud again, you shouldn't get too upset, as at that point it would be reasonable to expect it to get quiet again and for those quiet periods to keep getting longer.
Over the past 25 months, I've read about very few cases that are like your case. Normally, T fades gradually: It doesn't get much quieter overnight...
I'm fascinated to know what's caused this sudden decrease, I can't stop thinking about what it might be.
More people should try that technique in your YouTube clip...
Far out imagine if that's what did it! 2 years of hell and all I had to do was a 30 second exercise x 3 times a day.
So happy for you!
That's awesome. This gives hope for many, including me......may the day come for us all. I am almost 2 years in......still waiting for better days.
What exercise did you do?
@TheDanishGirl this one https://youtu.be/28oT4aFZmNc, last week I did it 3 times a day for a week . However it should be noted I have used it many times before and it did nothing, the only difference was I did it for a full week. I'm not sure if it has anything to do with my reduction, it might?
I'll try it, thanks :)

I hope so @Drone Draper, although I've woken up on day 4 and there is a slight increase. As soon as I heard it that Simon and Garfunkel line "Hello darkness, my old friend" started playing in my head. I'm such a weirdo!
No lie. I listened to that the day I woke up with T, because I couldn't listen to anything too loud. The irony wasn't lost on me.
