I'm doing meh - had some pretty bad news unrelated to Tinnitus, which of course doesn't help with the Tinnitus itself! Had it at exactly the same time as coming off Mirtazapine, which was a nice double whammy. Taking it a day at a time. Glad you're keeping busy - best way to be :)
I'm sorry to hear that. Did coming off mirtazapine result in a spike? I think some have reported this, I'm dreading coming off mirtazapine for this reason.
Yes it has caused one, which is pretty scary, especially coupled with the fact that my anxiety is now all over the place etc. But I'm determined to stick with it because it was horrible being on it. I know you get on OK with it, but I couldn't wake up on it, or stop stuffing my face! :)
Gonna see if the spike goes down, which hopefully it will as it's only been a couple of weeks. If not, I suppose I'll have to go back on it. Some do say that Mirtazapine actually suppresses Tinnitus, so it may have been making it quieter all this time. No rush for you to come off it though if you're doing well with it - it is great for anxiety.
I'm sorry to hear that. I do get quite hungry, to be honest, I've gained about a stone since being on it. Some of that is muscle, but I can see my muffin top is bigger, lol.
Yes, when I went on I did read a case study where a guy was on, reported a lowering in tinnitus, then tapered off, reported an increase and now is on it for life, basically.
I don't know that I want to be on an antidepressant for life, but it's a single pill I take 1 hour before going to bed. It's not like an insulin shot or anything like that.
