Hi @norwaygirl! I'm glad that your t went away. It seems to me that you had the kind of t that just naturally goes away on it's own (i.e. noise induced, stress). You do make a lot of good points about how to deal with it and get on with your life, which is very encouraging. There are some of us that will have t for the rest of our lives and need to accept it. Thanks for your positive outlook & hope you're doing well!

Most of what I did is better explained in the thread I created :) but it was to practice focusing onto other sounds, not ignoring tinnitus, but to practice tuning in on other sounds 100%. It was very hard and I often quit. It took maybe 4-5 months until I noticed something changing but like I said, it doesn't matter how long it takes and it's different for every individual.

Hi, I sent you a message yesterday asking about masking hearing devices. My hearing is slightly worse due to work related tinnitus since March. Is it possible to exchange your way of actively focusing on other sounds to just using a masking hearing device? My tinnitus is on one side.
