When I first posted here, the BTA had a line on their website that said there wasn't a strong correlation between tinnitus symptoms and the reaction to it. Utter, utter lies.

There's a world of difference between dealing with light hissing and the cacophony of signals that were raging at me in 2018/2019. I remember sitting in a quiet meeting room with colleagues and I could hear an undulating alarm-style sound over their discussion. I thought "I can't possibly live with this".

I'm planning on putting together a video of sorts on my tinnitus experience, I will post it here when I do.

Nobody can guarantee that your tinnitus gets better, but it honestly can. I pray we one day have better treatments for this than hearing aids and masking sound pillows. Until such time, please keep the faith and please keep speaking with fellow sufferers.

I haven't used Lenire since Christmas though, it's so draining. The thing is so dull to listen to and I've moved offices, so I can't do it at work.

Good question. I think Lenire has helped, but it truly is hard to say how much. I have made massive lifestyle changes in the last 14 months, I've not been to a concert or nightclub in that time and I muff up in the gym.

He’s not on here as much anymore, but I chatted to him this week. He’s still improving, except for some bad moments. His T is a sort of white noise nowadays. He’s getting Neuromod, but his T got to such an improvement that he could wait till Neuromod was available more close to home.

Gonna see if the spike goes down, which hopefully it will as it's only been a couple of weeks. If not, I suppose I'll have to go back on it. Some do say that Mirtazapine actually suppresses Tinnitus, so it may have been making it quieter all this time. No rush for you to come off it though if you're doing well with it - it is great for anxiety.
