Horrible shaking and the tuning fork-type tones in my head have gotten at least 25% louder

Turns out I have to get 5 (!) fillings and 5 teeth removed (4 of them wisdom teeth) I’m devastated.

Why must music be SO DAMN LOUD in clothing stores? Are you trying to sell me clothes or Ed Sheeran’s crappy new album?

Relatively good day at work, I wasn’t thinking of t 24/7. Still really nervous and anxious and sad when I wake up and go to sleep

Dreamt I jumped off a high cliff last night. Woke up with a peaceful feeling for the first time in months. Scared.

New, completely different sound. High pitched hiss, unmaskable so far. Slowly going insane

It’s raining so much tonight! Best sleep I’ll get in weeks. Room now smells like pinetrees and camping. Storm-sounds are the best masker

It's ok to feel like that, especially in the beginning. Focus on getting through the day.

Dealing with what I hope is a ‘spike’? It’s been 6 days.. :( I am about to eat a croissant, so that’s good, I guess. Trying to stay positive

Quit CBT. Postponing EDMR due to it being very intense.

@Jack Straw It didn't work. CBT uses exposure to treat, assuming exposure will (eventually) lead to a positive or neutral response. In my case every exposure to my fear (tinnitus) lead to more fear and never anything neutral or positive. I guess I'm just not 'there yet', I am having some hopeful feelings regarding the mindfulness aspect, decided to focus on that.

@Lynny mindfulness is very important in reducing all other stress in our lives so tinnitus can’t feed off it. Best of luck!

I’m a 20 years old, two year sufferer of tinnitus, living in the Netherlands. I live in a permanent state of masking, I wear earphones with a Neural Symphony and white noise from the MyNoise-app (I owe that app my life!) wherever I go and I sleep with several maskers (fan, the mechanical buzz from my computer and two phones).

If you ever run into a messy haired, tired looking Dutch chick who looks like she’s only halfway through a serious mental breakdown and refuses to take out her earphones, come say hello.
