I'm going to make myself a benzo addict If I continue this way. But I can't stand through the day without benzos...

Please be wise with your benzo use. I use them also due to sleep issues. Things do get better I have up to 6 different tones and are so severe and unmaskable at times. Im sorry that you are in a difficult situation.

Is there any way you could spend time somewhere where the noise bothers you less, at least few hours every day? I don't know, just a suggestion. Walking around, sitting on a quiet beach, or anything? I know it's not a cure. I just don't like the idea of getting addicted to benzos.

Believe it or not it will get easier to handle. When you are having a really bad, remember those good days when the T was not bad. This method helps me a lot through the really bad days.

I'm 25 years old. How am I going to endure a lifetime of suffering like this? All the time left before me is going to be a pure torture with these terrible noises in my head.

@ChrisBoyMonkey But how much more time should we expect suffering this torture? Is true that Lenire is my only hope. But I don't know how to endure all these months until they give me an appointment. Every day is pure torture.

You're right, it's probably going to take months, but the way we must endure for now is to do what we can to make it easier for us to take it day by day, with each day getting closer to sweet relief.

The strategy I am doing is doing the same things I loved before the tinnitus. I focus on these things because they are still there right now with the noise, and they will still be there once the noise is gone.

Hi acute, you responded to one of my posts last week. Like you said, we are in very similar situations and I'm sorry you're feeling this way. If you need someone to chat with, feel free to PM me! (however that works)

Hey acute, how severe is your tinnitus? Can you hear it throughout the day or only in quiet environments? I’m curious because I’m somewhat in your boat. I’m 22 and acquired tinnitus by being too close to a speaker at a concert on June 1st. I was in a panic after a week of barely sleeping, leading to my early posts on this forum. I do hope that your situation improves, and I’m confident that it will.

Some days it seems that tinnitus It's getting better and lower. Others days I feel sad because the improvement seems only a false illusion.

"It is normal for T to slide back after an improvement. The daily fluctuations are irrelevant. What is important are the global lows and the monthly trend. If you have been experiencing some fading, this is a wonderful news. In a year or two you will feel a lot better."

I wouldn't be making that comment if I wasn't convinced that it was true. This is something I learned as a result of having T and reading this forum for many months. Feeling better (on average) compared to a month or two ago is all that matters.

You could talk to Dr. Shulman. He wrote books about tinnitus. He would know a lot more than anyone here. I’ve been talking to him lately. Even stress could cause tinnitus. I don’t know if you had any stressful things happen at the time you first had tinnitus? The brain can do some weird things to people under stress.
