Right on, yeah mine is triggered from noises in a more quiet environment (my own voice, crisp packets like yourself, cutlery hitting etc). Not sure if I should baby the ear (keeping an earbud in the problem ear seems to stop it from spasming at all) or just carry on as usual. Shame that this issue is not well understood.

I used to get a tingling sensation around my ear as well. Its very on and off now and seems to be getting less and less. I dont have ear pain from noise specifically just the spasming or popping sensation. Its very irritating. I went with the logic of dont over protect them against everything but protecting when doing DIY etc.

Fingers crossed, Sir. I'm sceptical by nature. I've got some hope now that I can at least function with this level of noise. If it never improves beyond this, but doesn't worsen, I think I can live a decent life. I hope you are well.

Unless you experience a new trauma, there is no reason for your T to not continue to fade. Of course, the more it fades, the slower it tends to fade, but nevertheless all of this fading eventually begins to add up.

Thanks, that is my hope. I've been told that I'm prone to catastrophic thinking, so I'm trying not to focus on the possibility of it getting worse on its own. I'm doing all the protective measures I can and will stay well away from concerts or clubs for the foreseeable future. I would ask how yours is doing, but my understanding is that you've stopped discussing it in public.
