New neighborhoods moved in above me and MUCH louder than the last ones. My ear is hurting a bit this morning from their sound exposure. :( Jun 12, 2020

Well that's a bummer, sorry to hear that Angela, I hope they settle down, you don't need additional stress on top of the T. I'll keep you in my prayers.

I just got new neighbors as well. Quiet, so far...no dogs or children! Hopefully yours settle down. :)

Unfortunately, none that I can completely say for sure in the last 5 months.

I feel like mine's the same. 6 months & not much has changed. At least it hasn't gotten worse!

No sustained decrease in 5 months. Working to change mindset from hoping it gets better to coping in this moment.

Hopefully, as time goes on, you will be experiencing more and more of those quieter days.

Have you been protecting your ears from the moderate noises (e.g., vacuum cleaner)?

Thanks @Eloy Resendez Jr , it always helps to know that we are not alone with this condition. A sound in your head
sure can make you feel so alone sometimes. I do have many more good days than bad though, so hanging in there!

Hi @Bill Bauer, yes. I don't have carpet and I'm very protective of my hearing. Don't go to loud places etc. It seems only a lucky few continue to have their T improve after a 6 month window.

If you are feeling better compared to how you had been feeling 3 months ago, it ought to continue to fade and you ought to get your life back a year or two from now. Just make sure to not hurt your ears again during this vulnerable time.

I feel your pain, hang on to the good days, this thing gets better at a snail pace. One day at a time is the best we can do.

Yes I just moved on with my life and T wasn't there anymore. Thankfully, this T has faded so much It rarely bothers me anymore. I think you will be fine but it may take many months.

2nd reduction- Dec15 after taking 50 mg of zinc. Reduced 5%. Less noticeable above background sounds, less intrusive in quiet places.

First reduction in volume-Nov15. Reduced in volume 25%. T more easily masked, more easily tuned out at work. Very noticeable in quiet space

Ears hurt, felt full, extremely sensitive to sound. T was intrusive, could be heard above TV and was scary in quiet places

Thanks for giving this info, it seems rare but me and some other members on the forum think they got T 1-2 weeks after the exposure

@HeavyMantra Unknowingly, I went to a soccer game about 2 weeks after the acoustic trama. The game wasn't horribly loud, but my T started 2 days after that. :(
