Hi DITB - reading your fascinating posts about the 16khz hidden tone in the Bose QC20 - did you conclude this was something that only appeared when the earphones were plugged in via the audio jack, or does it appear even with “natural” external noises? Thanks!

At these frequencies it's hard to "tune in" exactly. Maybe mine is a bit lower, but it's up there for sure. Is it the fault og ANR? Or noisy kids banging their toys around ... or squeeky door handles? Who knows ...

    Tinnitus Since:
    2018 (unsure)
    Cause of Tinnitus:
Not sure. I have started to suspect ANR technology ..
High pitch tinnitus tone. I just found that my ANR headphones (Bose QC20) seem to make a "pilot tone" at 16KHz. Despite the perceived silence these ANR headphones gives, that high pitch tone might actually give us tinnitus (!!!)
