    Have you experienced Any fading/improvement compared to how it was 2-3 months ago? In any case, you ought to Begin feeling better/habituating after 6 months, and it can take 2-3 years for it to start feeling a lot better...

    I'm sorry, Bill, I didn't notice your comment.
    My T still fluctuates a lot. So one day it's a bit better, then it's worse. All in all, I'm glad that I have better days. And last week I had days when it felt like the sound softened a bit. Not yet in the hiss phase though. In the meantime, I developed a "water-rumbling-in-the-radiator" kind of sound too, but it's much less annoying than my main, screaching sound.

    I did an audiogram on Tuesday, which showed a quite big ABG, so that made my anxiety go through the roof, so T is worse again...

    It's good that it isn't relentlessly at the same level. What matters is the monthly trend and the global lows. So any time it is softer than it has ever been is cause to be more optimistic.
