Aww. Im sorry this is troubling you. The beeps went away, so that is good. If you can't sleep, don't just stay in bed listening to tinnitus. Maybe get up and have a cup of tea or read for a bit...Do you use a sound machine at bedtime?

@OnceUponaTime i have work tomorrow and my partner is in bed here, I tried to put on some rain sounds but my anxiety is so heightened now. I know it went away. Maybe it’s just a fleeting t attack but I’m so scared and anxious now. It actually woke me up. I just feel like crying as I’m frightened

I understand. If you feel like crying then let it out. Do you have any anti anxiety meds? I use them lightly when I feel anxiety kicking in and they help me much. I do not overuse them. Anxiety can make tinnitus worst. You need to distract your mind from thinking about it.

@OnceUponaTime i have nothing for short term use. My doctor wanted to give me Valium but I had Valium once and it was a really scary experience I was Hallucinating on it. I’m not sure if it was cause of other medications I was on. I am trying to distract myself. I am going to try to do some breathing exercises

When taking anti anxiety pills, I never take the full dose. I usually start with 1/4 and increase it slowly (never taking more than 1/2 the dose prescribed) letting my body adjust to it. And never take it for long periods of time. A lot of people start taking the full dose immediately and it is when they feel all these side effects as the body is almost in shock. MHO.

@OnceUponaTime yeah I probably should’ve at least halved it. At the time I was on two anti depressants (which I don’t think you’re supposed to do that but doctors prescribed it) I was on Paxil at the time.. (that was the worst drug I ever had)

@OnceUponaTime i just used my Apple Watch because it has an app for it. I feel a little better now. Just was worried a i have read those horror stories of people just waking up with new permanent sounds. I guess I am just on edge from being woken up by it and thinking it could’ve been permanent

@OnceUponaTime yeah I got really sick from it also. I thought the docs were crazy giving me 2... but I’m no doctor I guess I just trusted them
