    Sounds like you might mean Fleeting Tinnitus? If that's the case, then it's a normal occurence, even if someone dosen't have T.

    Yes. As aot said, that's fleeting tinnitus. It can be very scary, because (for me at least) it tends to be much louder than the normal T. For a second everything goes dead silent, then ringing starts. For me it stays for 1-3 minutes, then my regular T creeps back.

    Yep, and I get it fairly often and it's exactly like that. My head tinnitus plus my left ear goes 95% silent and a sinus tone starts in my right ear, which then slowly fades out in 10-15 seconds and then my normal T creeps back. I would prefer my fleeting T tone over my usual T :/
