I get it. Nearly 4 weeks ago had an acoustic trauma from a neighbor’s fireworks (3 loud blasts at close range). I keep playing it over and over in my head. If only I had gone to the car after 1, and not endured 3 I may have been ok. If only I hadn’t been there at all!! Does it get better as time passes? I’m really struggling.
@CAgirl I’m so sorry this happened to you. I know exactly how you feel and I’ve been saying the exact same things to myself many times.
Noise traumas usually gets better, but the recovery is just very slow. My T is still very much there but it has reduced quite a bit. You are early in and chanses are still good for you to improve.
Thanks Mymlan. Do you have a noise trauma too? I would be asleep by now, but just as I was falling asleep a new lower tone started going in my left ear. That’s my problem ear. My usual one is hissing, this is much lower pitched and a definite ring.
I don’t know why this new tone began. At first it was fleeting, then it came back and hasn’t stopped in over 30 min. It’s somewhat maskable but loud. Ugh. I see you had something similar happen?
