My hyperacusis is clearly influenced by my mental state. Such a strange condition. I think I will improve ever so slowly

The fear, of course, is whether I will improve after the next inevitable acoustic shock.

The vast majority of spikes are temporary...

My furlough turned into a lay off today. Luckily I can rely on family. I got my life together just in time for a disaster and hyperacusis.

Yeah due to covid I haven’t worked since mid-March but HR let me know yesterday I won’t be returning. Not that I could with ears like this.

Moved my head lying down and put my ear over my arm accidentally. Raised my head automatically, felt some suction... hope there’s no damage.

That’s the “better” ear I can sleep on without the pillow screaming at me. Don’t know what I’d do if I lost that.

Something like that could cause a spike but the spike has got to be temporary.

Ear pain is a little better today. I feel like I’m on a tightrope over lava. Luckily I’m still furloughed till July so more time to rest.

Anybody find relaxing in a pool helps with ear fullness? The ache stays but the relief is still nice (if temporary)

After getting better I had a bad H setback a few days ago. Ears so full. Constant fear. I beat depression before tinnitus, but this is hard.

H will eventually get better. The setbacks can't be avoided - don't worry.

I'm so scared my noise sensitivity will get worse before a treatment is out. I can still work for now. Gotta be careful for several years...
