Hi! So sweet thanks for thinking of me :) spent some time with family today. Haven’t done much of anything since this started. Really put me in a depression. I’m just not handling this well.

    How are you?

Too many ups & downs. Sometimes I feel ok & then I don't. I feel like it will get better eventually, but when? Idk. Still can't do too much here due to covid - that's not helping either.

Yes, it is depressing...trying to think of this as a time for healing. No other choice right now, just gotta try to ride this out. :)

I know - that’s what my mom says. It’s so hard, I’ve never had any tinnitus in my life. Like I’ve talked to my friends and they get it for a day or two and put a tv on. I’ve never even had it like that! It’s just a nightmare, this noise you can’t escape :(

Do you think it’ll eventually go away? I’m so scared it’s going to randomly get worse. I’m also upset that I can’t travel this year, unless this magically gets a lot better in 6 months. Everything about this really sucks :(

I've never had it either - I knew about it and always tried to protect my ears, I didn't know that there were other ways you could get it. Has yours made any improvement since it started? Mine doesn't seem like it's changed in 6 mos.

Mine either! It’s different every day. Have you tried ear plugs at all for protection? How is your sound sensitivity?

I am using ear plugs when I go for bike rides or in the car with window down due to wind noise, otherwise it doesn't seem to affect it. Mine is consistent for the entire day when I wake up, but it can be loud one day (heard over tv), low or quiet.

Nothing really seems to affect it except it seems to reset when I sleep. Slightly sensitivity to sounds, especially whistling kettle, but not too bad.

It's difficult because I don't know how loud it will be when I wake up...

Eventually it will get better, even if it doesn’t fully go away it will get pretty low, from what I’ve heard. I’m having a hard time with this. I loved silence and I feel robbed :(
Mornings seem to be hardest for me, it’s like I wake up and remember it’s another day of this noisy hell :/
