Yup. I've tried at least Ginkgo Biloba. No effect whatsoever. Double-blind, placebo controlled studies have shown little or no effect with most herbal preparations.

There are some vitamins and antioxidants that can be beneficial to take like for the rest of your life.

Magnesium for example is one that might protect hearing from additional damage.

N-A-C (N-Acetyl-L-Cysteine) is another, but that one might have adverse effects especially at higher doses.

"Dihuang 地黄 (Rehmannia glutinosa) is a Chinese herb traditionally used for tinnitus and to protect against noise-induced hearing loss. Some evidence suggests it may induce GDNF (glial cell line-derived neurotrophic factor) or act as an antioxidant. It has not been rigorously tested."

Got go now and get some sleep... hope you'll stop by here more often than once a year. :) Or I'm not sure... I guess it's a good thing that the tinnitus isn't on your mind so much so that you feel the need to visit a forum like this every so often.

Well, I hope all of us get to have a great year and that tinnitus will stay in the background. Good night :)
