After a year of Covid quarantine, etc., I'm having difficulty getting used to "normal" noise and activity levels. It all seems so loud and overwhelming now. Perhaps you are experiencing that, too?

@tracyNYC i think so. When I first developed t everything locked down not too long after. I was able to control my surroundings and now I am thrust back into normal life with its normal volume. I'm still trying to get used to it and not let my anxiety warp my perception.

Did you get a delayed spike after your friend's party?

@buttercake so far so good. Haven't noticed it being louder. I know I'm paying attention to it more so that's annoying, but it's suspiciously ok.

I feel the same as you do. Things are starting to open back up and I really want to go to Disneyland. Will I ever be able to go again? =/

Hell.. will I ever be able to go on an actual date as well?

I will go to see a movie, definately - but with hearing protection from now on.

I have a friend who does not have tinnitus (he actually has hearing damage) and he said the theater was way too loud, even for him. Also, pro tip, if you ask an attendant to turn the volume down they most likely will

@Lucifer i haven't been keeping up with it as much as I should. My tinnitus hasn't spiked yet but who knows if it will soon or in next couple days. But hopefully I'll be ok

Just be careful. If it hasn’t spiked in a week or so you should be fine.

@Forever hopeful thank you! No tinnitus change to report! But it did make me feel fluish for the day after. Today I'm almost 100% better :)

@Lucifer nope! No change from the first one. I also didn't feel many side effects. Sore arm and a little clammy that night but could have been nerves too. Other than that was 100%

i got mine last friday, yesterday was hell, high fever, but today everything is fine. If anything T is lower than before, go figure.

My bilateral T does that too. It could be completely quiet and then it will weather and be really loud and then get quiet again and then really loud. It can do it within minutes. It changes constantly. And I have no hearing loss in that air. The air that I have hearing loss and it’s a more steady town that never changes

And it is so annoying..................

The spikes are the real enemy. We would all be fine with just a minor ring. Not sure if that's your face in your profile, but can we use that beauty to make a cure? It would be 100% effective.

The noise used to really make me cross even before I had T and H. There's no bloody need for them to be so loud!

@Lucifer i wouldn't be surprised if they were where I live in California. But possibly not enforced

@Steph1710 yes me too! Now when I hear them from even far away I duck and cover lol

I have lots of hair, around waist length as well. I blow dry my hair in muffs after trying to dry them thoroughly with towels. #highlife

Yes, syringing can cause a permanent spike.

@Bill Bauer yikes. Need to figure out a way to get this thing out or else I'll live with a paint chip in my ear lol. No spike thankfully.

@all to gain ty. I avoid messing with my ears as much as possible now. I sleep with socks on my hands because I involuntarily scratch my ears when I'm asleep :(

How r u doing these days? I'm 9 mos now with no real improvement. I do get quiet days sometimes. This is hard.

@LilSass I've been doing a lot better with coping with it. The t doesn't change as much as my feelings on it do. Unless I get sick etc. it's so hard. Harder than people unlike us know.

It's probably best, yes. And some drugs are labelled ototoxic even when the risk of ototoxicity is extremely low.

And on the table page 11, lisinopril is rated "3". Meaning: "Drugs vertigo-generating (there is no mention ofototoxicity)"

I got my rosacea from covid (dec 2020) I think.. Yeah I'm not sure if I should get the vaccine now or not.
