It takes time. Focus on healthy habits consistently. Emotional reasoning is no help. Feeling sad is not a reason to not go for a walk, etc. Turning sadness around is like doing a 180 with a cruise ship, it just takes time. I'd also recommend spending a "limited" amount of time giving back on something. Write your representatives and request funding for research.
@Watasha Well I haven't allowed this to prevent me to stop going for a walk. It's one of my joys rn. I also am trying to give back to people i various different ways rn.
