Such a shame. I absolutely love London. :( and I was so hoping to meet you there one day, after all this Covid business has blown over. Where are you thinking of moving to instead? I take it you were not planning to stay in London anyway? I admit, I've never been more grateful to live in the middle of nowhere since I developed tinnitus. The only sound I hear is the occasional deer and pheasant. X

I too love London but I can't do what I originally wanted career-wise & my parents plan to move to the south coast (West Sussex) next year so I made the decision to go with them. If you ever find yourself there get in touch :) Wow that sounds like heaven! Where do you live? x

I live on the east coast (Suffolk). It's incredibly quiet here. We have mostly forest and tonnes of disused churches - which is cool. I mention the churches, because I only found out recently that Suffolk and our neighbouring county Norfolk, have more churches than anywhere else in the UK. I just presumed everywhere had hundreds of churches. Anyway, have you had any thoughts on what you will do career wise instead?

That's pretty interesting :) is this something you're working on? As for career, no idea as of yet.

Well I know all about churches in England and the different sectors, how they came about etc. But no. I'm not working on anything to do with churches in particular. I did in Italy, but not yet in England. So you've still have no idea about what you're going to do. I'm sure you'll figure it out. Take your time. Your ears need it. Did you see my last post about me landing a new job?

I'm sure I don't receive notifications from half the replies on TT - either that, or I'm not checking properly :-/ So anyway, the new job! I'm now an exhibition and display designer for museums in mainly Suffolk and Essex, but elsewhere too. :) I'll be working in the V&A at some point this year. We're setting up a new exhibition there.

It's a bit different from architectural history but atm the National Trust are really struggling and they said last year that they were stopping the work placement programme I was on until summer of 2021 when they will look at restarting it.
So I jumped ship when I saw this job.

It's brilliant though. I work somewhere different week and get paid £1200 untaxed because it's a traineeship, but the pay goes up majorly once I'm qualified. :) tbh, as long as I'm working in the heritage sector, I don't mind too much what I do.
