Thank you for all of your input on the FX-322 thread over all this time. We all need to keep cheering science on, even as it stumbles. I look forward to our "alumni gathering," as you say, WHEN we are better.

@Keith Handy, appreciate the kind words. Science can be unpredictable. The FX-322 project is an attempt to make the body do something it has not done in human evolution. I continue to be optimistic that we are at the tipping point for treating SNHL. Once we've all had our dose of FX-322, I'd be happy to host an Alumni get together. Music will be at a responsible volume, and the foods will be low in sodium.

Curious if you had a preference, regarding tinnitus and hyperacusis. I couldn't conclude one way or another, as tinnitus is a real side effect that's not super common. My instinct was that J&J was slightly higher risk.

@Zugzug - My parents both got Pfizer. Both have tinnitus (Noise-Induced), both had no issues re: tinnitus. My order in preference is Pfizer, J&J, Moderna.

I've currently been 100% remote since my firm shut down in March from covid. At first it took some adjustment, but now it's working out well. My current job req's a ton of communication, which I do well remotely. I def don't miss the commute, put about 100 miles on my truck since march, 2020. There are talks about "everyone coming back" .. not sure I'm feeling it.

I agree with @ajc . It's probably a double edged sword. At the moment I am living in a country which is not my own and we are "strongly encouraged" to work from home, so I am completely isolated. I think I would have confronted my tinnitus better if I had my old routines of going to the office and meeting few colleagues...

Even though I am somewhat reserved, I'm finding that I miss the camaraderie of working with people and being part of a team. Ironically, most of my career I was on a team and hated it. My husband went back to his office about 2 months ago and it has helped him mentally. He said he is more productive in the office without the distractions of home. He is asking his staff to return in June.

For three years I had very faint cicadas. I heard someone say recently their T sounds like angry cicadas. I never knew my faint cicadas could change, they never changed and never came into my consciousness unless I listened intently. Now I also have morse code in the ear that experienced the acoustic trauma.

Hi @twa! Was yours originally cause by an acoustic trauma? Mine was caused by meds but I'm concerned that it will get worse - that is my biggest fear. 1.5 years in and it is the same, not better but not worse.

@LilSass Hi! I'm not exactly sure what caused my original T. I had a back injury 5 years ago and I was prescribed several meds. I also had an MRI which I remember the tech said the ear plug doesn't fit in your left ear. She continued with the MRI w/o any protection and I thought she would tell me if it wasn't safe. I remembered the very faint cicadas started after I did a micro-taper of Clonazepam.

@buttercake it blows my mind. I got weeks, WEEKS without fleeting T. Then suddenly, I'll have days were they are random throughout the day, back to back in sequence. Always the same pitch, always the same-ish duration. I saw some people mention ETD.. but I dont know if its related? Or what I would experience with ETD?
