@Tezcatlipoca both of my parents overcame it, they had severe T quoting my mom "noise level 20/10" where my mom slept outside in the rain, 3 hours only. She told me that she never wouldve thought it would calm down, but it did. 1/2
@Tezcatlipoca Her best advice to me was to stay in quiet when its loudest no matter what.Let your ears rest, do not panic and it will go down. Since the first shock wave i've calmed down. The noise is the same, but my reaction to it has made it less significant. I'm hopeful. Thanks for being the first to comment! I deeply from my heart hope you a bright future. :) 2/2
@Anniz thats amazing, did their T went away or did it drop to a very low level? Im glad ive been following your mothers advice instinctively; I wish you the best as well, we will beat this shit!!
@Tezcatlipoca T lowered for them to a level that they can say "it doesn't bother me." They have to remain careful, as noise exposure (long car drives) can still spike it, but within a day it still always comes down and because of the years of experience, they do not worry about temporary spikes. It always comes down eventually. I agree, we will overcome!
This is a beautiful post. Your parents sound amazing! Bless them both. :) I also totally agree with their advice - they clearly know tinnitus very well. You’re in good hands @Anniz. I hope yours settles down too. I’m sure it will. I had super loud T to begin with, and mine no longer bothers me. You’ll get there. <3
@Steph1710 Thank you for the encouraging words! I am grateful for them indeed, of course hoping everyday that we all have freedom from this. Now when I visit them, I don't have to be in the room worrying if someone will do a loud noise.. We all just want to enjoy that quiet volume TV. :) Bless your heart Steph. <3
