They are both considered graduate degrees! A graduate degree/program refers to an advanced academic degree in a specialized field of study pursued after someone has obtained a bachelor's degree (4 year undergraduate program). Hope that cleared up the confusion :) @buttercake

It can range anywhere between 4-12 years! It all depends on the area of study, university/program, etc. The average amount of time to complete one would be 5-6 years @buttercake
