What's the deal with TMS? Bogus or worth a shot? I can't seem to find a consensus. Apr 9, 2021

Did your T ever become less reactive?

Yeah. My reactivity was on a whole nother level for the first month or two. Not livable. It still reacts to footsteps, typing on a keyboard, etc. but it’s just a second-long high pitched noise. Before, listening to music in my car at low volume would cause a hum in my ear that would stick around for hours. Fans would set off a hum/whistle too.

Is Frequency Therapeutics going to work? When will it be available?

It was sucked up by useless habituation research. Tinnitus research in the 90's and 00's was like a black comedy.

    Tinnitus Since:
    July 2019
    Cause of Tinnitus:
    26 years of loud noise
    I have:

-constant tinnitus, medium and high pitches in both ears, heard above all sounds

-high pitched tinnitus in my right ear that is reactive to every noise: footsteps, typing on a keyboard, speech AND somatic (gets loud if I touch my temple/jaw/turn my head/neck)

-sound distortions/dysacusis - everything is distorted - music, fans, water, some peoples' voices. Some days I notice it more than others.

-I had bad hyperacusis for the first month, but that has mostly faded, fortunately

-My right jaw clicks, which could be a factor
