New symptoms..numbness in hands to go along with the feet. Tinnitus must have been the start in this neuro mess. One more rounds of mri! Joy

Instead of trying to run or avoid the T noise..I sat in a quiet area and actually listened to it for a few mins. I felt better. Weird

That's the first step to slowly getting better days. It was incredibly difficult for me to do that early on, but eventually I became able to be totally neutral about it when I'm in quiet areas.

I entered this stage in the last month or so.. In the beginning I truly thought I could never enter a silent room again. Just goes to show how much progress can really be made! Congrats sayeed on taking your power back, it gets easier:) same to you @kuromi!

I got worsened tinnitus and worsend hyperacusis after being on it a year + a shower of eye floaters. I cant know for sure if its because of mirt but I think so. I know everybody's different but I really cant recommend it.

so far not bad guys. I took the first dosage last night.. i slept like a baby 8 hours for the first time. but I did wake up drowsy and am a bit tired today. lets see if I adjust over the next few days otherwise i reduce dosage. I do know lower dosages make you even more drowsy so maybe i don't. I'm not sure but only one way to find out. T levels are the same as yesterday. I'm just more calm and accepting of it.

On a side note I read you take mirtazapine. I just got prescribed today..15 mg. How does it affect your T?

thanks for the support guys.. you dont know how much it helps me. I really mean it. bless you guys

now i do need your opinion on something- if the ent says its not my ears (but the first ent said i have slight hearing loss) and the neuro says its not my brain.. what could it be then? the psych says its anxiety but from what i ready anxiety and stress only make it worse not cause it.. thoughts?

@ Sayeed I'm kind of in the same boat. I'm not sure what caused my initial T, either medication, MRI w/o ear protection, acoustic trauma or stress. My initial was either meds or MRI. The louder T recently was either meds, anxiety or acoustic trauma. Hard to say. I guess our only choice is to take care of ourselves, protect from loud noises and consider new treatments in the future.

idk about this ototoxicity but it feels like almost every medication on the earth is apparently ototoxic according to ATA. Even common used drugs like ibuprofen is but I have never heard of anyone who got tinnitus from it.
