Hey, just wanted to comment here as it looks like we might be going through something similar.
I’m 30 and from the UK.
About 7 weeks ago I developed a weird tinnitus in my right ear after a loud noise exposure. It’s more like an electrical vibration that I can feel in my ear.
Occasionally it sends electric shocks into my head and down my neck.

A few days ago I started getting the electric shocks down into my hands and feet and am now waking up with numbness in my hands.
I also get the horrible electric feeling in my head that is absolutely horrendous and lasts a few hours before calming down.

A Google of the symptoms points towards MS but there is absolutely nothing online about MS being triggered by tinnitus - do you know what’s going on with yours at the moment? I noticed you said you had an appointment with a neurologist.
        Kind regards,
        Tom

Mine changes according to my emotional state, also with overexposure to noise. I cope with it trying to distract myself and convincing myself that it will not get worse, it is not easy but over time you adapt a little if the symptoms are not very strong, there are days better than others but I try to get excited about new projects even if they are little ones, how do you cope?

From what you describe, what happens to me happens to you, that is central sensitivity, of the nervous system. Investigate a little about that, you'll see how I'm right, it cost me a lot to discover it. All the best

Pressure in my face, weird tingling in nose and back of neck along with the electricity feeling… I’m starting to think this isn’t T?
      1. Lurius
        Lurius
No, that doesnt sound like T, but it could be one of the reasons why you have T. It could be something bigger, although I wouldn't panic quite yet. It sounds harmless for now, but monitor it for a few days and see if it gets any worse.

        Yeah @bethadtr.

But the last time I went, I explained to my hygienist that I had tinnitus; so she used the AIR FLOW for the majority of the cleaning, which, with earplugs in, made the whole thing pain-free and easy.

      1. Damocles
        Damocles
Yeah, like @Ilias T said, it could be wax build up in the ear: hence why it feels "muffled".

However, the fact that you say it's muffled AND aching leads me to suspect an ear infection (likely "outer").

Whenever I get outer ear infections I get these same two symptoms as a result of the ear canal swelling up.

Like I said before: make an appointment to see your GP (ASAP), so they can determine which of these is the probable cause.

If it IS an ear infection, they'll simply prescribe you antibiotic ear drops.

Should probably get checked at an ENT (Don't let them do a Tymp) in case it's an infection. And make sure to wear plugs whenever unexpected/uncontrollable loudness can occur.
