My dear friend @Damocles, what a happy sight to get a message from you. How are ya?
I'm well thank you @Stacken77.
Although my sleep is weird at the moment; I've fallen back into my typical pattern of awake at night and sleeping during the day. So need to get out of that right away.
But very excited for resumption of studies this September. Stagnation is very bad for me.
@Damocles, yeah man, good luck on getting the sleep cycle right, and beginning the studies! ;)
I'm still trying to figure things out, no progress yet, but I'm working on it. While trying to hold down my job, I've also resumed development on my RTS game. I really need some cash for my future property in the countryside lol.
I'm sure you'll make it to your property in the countryside mate.
You've got valuable skills and in an area that shouldn't be a massive obstacle to your condition. So yes, actually I'm certain you can do it.
In the meantime though, don't be in too much of a rush; be good to yourself and take time out to relax. Just know you'll get where you need to be.
God knows, we already have enough pressure on us living through this craziness everyday.
@Damocles Yeah man I agree. I just find programming really fun, so hopefully it can be a win-win in the end, but we'll see.
So great that you enjoy your job.
Not many people are lucky enough to do what they love.
Keep at it, and maybe one day you can create an app that aids Deridder in his search for our cure!
@Damocles I'm very carefully optimistic, but I think my H may be improving, as well as my TTTS. I'm exposing myself to increasingly more sound, and while my T is bad, it is not as bad as I would have imagined. Again, I'm very careful to draw conclusions, but I'll continue the journey. Just thought I'd let you know. You're a very dear friend to me, and I'd love to meet one day when I'm hopefully in a better place.
@Stacken77 my friend, it has been a pleasure helping you the little amount I have been able to.
It's so great to hear you're already seeing a small amount of progress. Just keep your faith, know that God has great plans for you (and me) and remember that this is a challenge, not an end to our stories.
Same here mate, really look forward to the day we can finally meet.
Thank you for your kind words @Damocles. Not to pry, but do you have faith in God? If so, do you feel this helped you in your journey? It feels like my faith is being tested and toughened for the better. If I make it to the other side, I'll not be the man I used to be, if you know what I mean.
Well, my family are Irish Catholic, but I have identified as agnostic since I was a teenager. Despite being agnostic though, I always had an inclination to believe there was a reason for all things; a larger plan, or fate.
As I'm getting older, I'm seeing and experiencing, more and more events that are strengthening my faith.
So yes, I definitely know what you mean.
