@Ondine Amoxicillin is considered safe for us T sufferers. I myself, have taken it many time since developing T and it’s never caused an issue, which is good, considering my T was caused by Doxycycline in the first place. So I wouldn’t stress. Hope that helps x

I've taken Amoxicillin for far longer than seven days. No issues.

Yeah, what @Steph1710 and @aot said. Have taken Amoxicillin billions of times.

    I love it.

    It's my favourite anti-biotic.

In fact, if you don't want yours, give it to me!

@Wrfortiscue, I've had several ear infections over the last decade that I was given Neomycin ear drops to treat (a goddamn ototoxic anti-biotic), and nothing happened.

If I can survive clueless doctors prescribing ototoxic chemicals you put directly into your ear, then you definitely have nothing to worry about with Penicillin (Amoxicillin).

@Damocles @Steph1710 im guessing any antibiotic ear drop is safe if you don’t have a perforation correct? While oral amoxicillin would be considered safe? I too have taken doxy in the past including this January

Yes that's correct, regarding the perforations.

Oral Amoxicillin would be best reserved for Middle and Inner Ear infections though.

    Drops for outer.

to be honest, I've never been prescribed a Penicillin based ear drop treatment before. What's the brand name?

Thank you for sharing your experience, I stumbled upon some horror stories mentioning Amoxicillin induced tinnitus, but these cases must be pretty rare... I didn't take any of it so far considering the teeth pain fortunately subsided and vanished these last few days, but it's back and stronger today so I guess I'll have to stop being in denial and take it after all.

I've had so much improvement with my T since the onset mid February, from suicidal tinnitus to basically non existant or 1/10 or 2/10 at most. I've been through 5 dentist appointments, 3 fire alarms and benzo taper with no consequences whatsoever, I'd hate for Amoxicillin to ruin everything, I don't know how I'd cope if it does.

Anyway, thanks a lot to everyone who commented on this thread, I really appreciate it. It's quite reassuring knowing you managed to take Amoxicillin without any tinnitus worsening..
