@PortugalTheMan Can you fall asleep fine, but have a hard time falling asleep again if you wake up in the night?

15 mg. Mirtazapine has helped. Also in my relation towards tinnitus. I think it has even helped me habituate

@Stacken77 Yes, I have trouble staying asleep and falling back asleep. I feel anxious when waking up.
The doctor prescribed Escitalopram, but I'm afraid to take it because of the increase in T.

@danielthor didn't you have any changes on your T?

@PortugalTheMan Yeah, in my experience, anxiety affects sleep massively, sometimes more than the T itself, so getting it under control would be a good start. When I was very anxious I took 10 mg Hydroxyzine before sleep. It's an antihistamine used for anxiety and should be one of the safer drugs, but we should be vigilant in case we see worsening in T or H.

I'm not completely sure, but it may have affected my T and H after taking it for 5 consecutive days. What helps in the long run though is of course habituation, but it takes time and is no quick fix.

Hey @PortugalTheMan, is it Citalopram you said the doctor prescribed you?

I've been taking Citalopram 10mg for almost 6 years.

It spiked my tinnitus for the first couple of days I took it, then it settled.

Never caused me any problems since.
