I found the acoustic reflex test very loud.

Yup, and seems to be getting worse :( I can sleep but last night was the first time I found it difficult. No cause whatsoever - I just woke up and it was there! I'm sorry you're in a bad state again.. what happened? How are you coping with it? Sending you my love xx

Hey @Charburchar. Yeah, most of it's been covered. Probably avoid the Tympanometry, and of course if they offer syringing or micro-suction: that's a no.

Obviously MRIs are noisy, but they're not going to offer you an MRI on your first consultation, they'd need to book you in for that (and it's usually quite a long wait on the NHS).

Sorry to hear you've suddenly hit a rough patch. Just sit tight and it will likely resolve itself.

Never had an acoustic reflex test, but have read that it can worsen tinnitus. Hope things improve for you.
