I've heard it's backwards, that acid reflux (i suffer from this also) that it messes with your ETD and supposedly makes it worse. By the way, did you have the eustachian balloon dilation done?
The doc diagnosed me with ETD,and wanted to poke a hole in my tube to relieve pressure in office visit, but I didn’t have it done I was worried it would make it worse. You ever hear of that? I haven’t had the balloon dilation, have you?Did it help?
So i've never had the balloon dilation, but they say it helps 80% ETD people. I'm taking a prednisone pack and it's just ramping up my anxiety instead. I've never heard of poking a hole in the ETD, that's interesting, I wonder if that works. I can understand hesitancy doing it though.
I also have the high pitched ringing that's driving me insane. Have they given you anti-anxiety or anti-depression medication?
He said I would lose hearing temporary until it healed,I think he said it would help with pressure in the ear. They offered it too me, but I declined it for now, trying to deal with it without medication for now, it’s hard. Are you on any? And does it help deal with it better? I read somewhere where someone had said that how they got use to there tinnitus was just not caring about it anymore.
I'm not on any medication aside from trying the Prednisone pack. I'm going to an ENT to get checked out soon. Right now i'm in the same boat, trying to just get by without any additional medication, but we'll see. Are you able to sleep ok? The high pitch is making it hard for me.
