Unfortunately you are not the only one, my tinnitus seems to me to be the worst in the world, it takes away my pleasure for things i like to do, go out, socialize, travel, etc. It absorbs a lot of energy,it is exasperating.
@Hottopic29 does your T physically hurt? By that I mean, is the frequency or sound of the T so piercing that you feel a sensation of pain? T for me is not just a sound, but something I can often feel, too, unfortunately.
It doesn't hurt my ears just feel numb and buzz and hiss and Oscillating eee then when im watching tv or laying down its a collection of bells and buzzs feel like my ears are on that channel with the bars at night waaaaaaaaaaa .. .. its super scary for me .. they sting a bit tonight
I just keep praying it levels out after 2 months i changed a few times i might try hearing aid i have mild losess i put pieces of cotton balls in my ears a bit to counteract the buzz so i mentally know there something there as the feeling of buzz is awful
My sounds seem to stay in low buzzish hiss eeebuzz wahahahahaha area wondering im praying a hearing aid can go over them .. but i only have mild loss in few spots last i checked and 20 db to 30db
@Jerad it for first week sometime now i just feel pricks once in awhile... its scary for me the whole situation as its amplified right now takes over my ears and head the sound my hypercacusis i do have only thing i notice is fridge is louder a bit and driving on highway sounds windy and i can hear highway traffic at my house now..
@Hottopic29 what caused the new ear problems? Did u have an acoustic trauma or take a medication that aggravated it? Sounds like u might have some sound sensitivity, but hopefully it’s mild. My hyperacusis is pretty severe - LDLs down around 30-40 db for a lot of sounds. Most voices aggravate me even, as they feel painful.
@Jerad i was on predisone 50mg and tested my hearing and started ringing bad .. i started to panic doctor told me get off the prednisone just stop hope its not partially from meds
Hi Man, I can assure you that it will most likely settle. The first month I was hearing fire alarms in the absence of alarms, couldn’t tolerate most sounds without a panic attack and my body going into a state of shock. Tense muscles everywhere. This has slowlllyyyy faded over 5 months and I no longer feel stress to majority of sound. The tinnitus is a bit relentless but hey, it could be worse.
@Lorca thanks , just do wierd i keep hearing like amplified house alarm or amplified waaaaaaaa i stuff a ear plug in or cotton to calm it down .. it works for a bit then comes back waa waaa waaa waa waa sometimes kept going to check fridge thought it was amplifying but it wasn't running... that's only issue i could deal with the little Oscillating bee sound and the hiss
