If the sound exposure is loud enough Shelbylynn the tinnitus can become louder. Not only that, if they use any type of headphones even at low volume they are putting themselves at risk of the tinnitus becoming louder. There's always room for outliers @Shelbylynn. If a group of 10 people take LSD together, there'll sometimes be that one guy or girl that doesn't experience any effect. So it's not a given.

That said, the LIKELIHOOD is: yes, further exposure to loud noise will result in worse/louder tinnitus.

Probably best to avoid.
