I served four years as a mechanic in the engine room of a diesel submarine. That's where the damage to my hearing was done. I wear two hearing aids and have T on both sides.

    Tinnitus Since:
    2006 - Extreme T since 12/2013
    Cause of Tinnitus:
see "information" on profile page. Crippled by extreme T
extreme reactive vibrating tinnitus: about 10-12 very loud different sounds. low/deep frequency alternating sounds (machines, turbines, electric kettle, water boiling) + high tonal EEEEE :inpain: + hyperacusis + ear pain.
Started with one ultra loud sound 12/2013 after a dental operation. Multplied by antidepressants in the following months and years.

Im sure this is the worst T in the world. It's stuff straight from a nightmare and beyond believeable. I would never have believed that this can exist or get this bad.

Stupid doctors handed me the death verdict by giving out antidepressants like candy (effexor and other shit) after the initial onset.
The tinnitus research initiative in regensburg put a nail in my coffin with their rTMS "therapy" by using me as a lab rat. Thanks guys. Just one life less I guess?

Do yourself a favor and dont obsess over your mild T on this site all day while you could actually go and enjoy your life. You dont know how lucky you are and how life crushing multiple T can get. This is the best advice you're gonna get.
